[10-JAN-2026] - Version 2.1 Minor Release

The AI backend has been upgraded to support a significantly broader range of shell families, improving classification reliability for less common groups. This change is not directly visible but strengthens the foundation for future model expansions.

[09-JUN-2025] - Version 2.0 Major Release

A new top CNN model is used. Performance increased for more than 10%. Also the classification process takes a few seconds less time. Feedback is now given about the quality of the uploaded images. More information about the technology and results is described here.

[15-MAR-2025] - Version 1.2 Minor Release

Added 1700 species to the AI model. This almost doubles the shells that AI model is able to identify.

[04-JAN-2025] - Version 1.1 Minor Release

Improved the answer provided by the AI model. It will now tell you if the identification is good, probable, possible or unsure.
An article on the description of the image dataset and the CNN models used is added.

[15-DEC-2024] - Version 1.0 Major Release
